i see aircrack can claim to even crack wpa/ wpa2 networks does it only crack weak short passwords since it needs lots of packets do generate even a little bit of keys, also if my wpa password is strong and i change it every month would i be really safe? safer than wep thats for sure also i use tkip instead of aes , aes just causes to many connection problems.

It is always a good idea to change your password periodically. WPA is safer than WEP, but WPA2 is your best bet. If it cracked a WPA2 password, than it must have been a weak one. I suggest using a 6-8 character minimum password. It should include uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a special character. The stronger the password, the longer it would take. This combined with changing it monthly would make your network virtually impossible to hack.
