I can’t find the answer anywhere. What besides updating my network card drivers can I do? I need to change/spoof the mac address. Spoofing programs worked with XP, but not on my new Vista 64 computer. Is there anyway around this?

Thanks.

Your network card would need to support Mac address spoofing. If it does not (which is the case with most network cards), then you’re screwed and no amount of software or whining will change that fact. I suppose you could always get a new network card though.

I am not sure about vista64. But this is what i do to change mac address in xp and vista. It requires no software so it should work on vista 64 as well.
Go to network connection. Double click on your desired “Local Area Connection”. “Local Area Connection Status” window will open. Click the “Properties” button. “Local Area Connection Properties” window will open. You will see a text box labeled “Connect using:” and contains the name of your network card. At the right of this box there is “Configure” button. Click it and a new properties window will open. Click the “Advanced” tab. Click the “Network Address” property. And set the value in the box. remember no hyphen or colon. That should do.

MAC Addresses are hard coded into the hardware of your computer. These addresses do not change at all, short of replacing the hardware.
