NetStress is a network benchmarking tool. It is used to generate network traffic and measure the network’s throughput peformance — both for wired and wireless (802.11, WiFi) networks. It is most useful when applied to diagnosing network problems. If you are modifying a wireless network and are not testing throughput then you risk wasting time and resources going down the wrong path.
